Every project begins with a consultation, either in-store or in your home. Our experienced consultants talk through your requirements and guide you through the available choices from our extensive fabric collection, ensuring you find the right colour and style. We can bring fabric samples to your home, or you can take them on appro, so you can see how they work in your space. Our consultants take precise measurements, to ensure the curtains will fit perfectly. Once everything has been decided upon and is underway, creating the curtain begins.
The fabric arrives, and our workroom team begin the making process. Every fabric is carefully checked and cut to size for the windows. The fabric is then joined, if necessary, ensuring any patterns are aligned perfectly to create a beautiful finish. The curtain lining is also prepared, before the hems are folded and stitched.
Using a vertical cutter, the fabric and lining is suspended under the correct tension before being accurately measured and cut to the length ready for the creation of the heading. This process allows us to achieve the precise finished height required for your home.
The curtain then moves to our pleating machine, where the chosen heading style is formed. With a range of heading options available, our consultants will help determine the style that best suits both your fabric selection and interior design preferences.
Once pleated, the curtain is carefully pressed and prepared for hooking. Each curtain hook is placed at the precise measurement to ensure it hangs beautifully on your chosen track or rod, to create the perfect end result.
Before any curtain leaves our workroom, it undergoes a thorough quality inspection. Hook placement is checked, the curtain is hung to assess the finished length and width, and the overall appearance is carefully reviewed. This final stage ensures every curtain meets the high standard of quality and precision we expect from our custom-made curtains.
