Our McKenzie & Willis Wānaka showroom is thrilled to be opening a brand new design store, now located at Three Parks Wānaka. The new showroom offers significantly more space to showcase our furniture, beds, window furnishings, and linens, alongside our expert interior design services and personalised advice.
Easily accessible for clients throughout Central Otago, the Wānaka showroom has proudly been part of the local community since 2001, helping to create beautiful homes across the region. We spoke with Wānaka Branch Manager, Leisa Gordon, about the store’s move and what this exciting new chapter means for local customers.
McKenzie & Willis first opened its doors on Ballantynes Road in 2001 and then to Ardmore Road. Reflecting on the old showroom, Leisa shares a few memorable moments — from sitting in puffer jackets during winter before the heating upgrade, to dealing with a flood caused by a burst pipe in the mid‑to‑late 2000s that temporarily closed the store. Store renovations were also interrupted during COVID, making the move to a fresh new space even more meaningful.
On 28 April 2026, McKenzie & Willis Wānaka officially opened the doors to its new showroom, followed by an opening celebration on the 30th. The event saw a fantastic turnout, with customers, friends, and members of the local community coming together to celebrate. A big thank you to everyone who joined us — it was a wonderful evening marking an exciting milestone for the store.
Leisa says the new space is a huge improvement. “We now have more room, more consultation areas, and lots of new product on display, which makes such a difference for both our team and our customers.” Creating a welcoming customer experience was a key focus when designing the new showroom. A warm, beautiful space where people feel comfortable spending time, allows customers to truly explore the range and envision pieces in their own homes. The new location also better supports McKenzie & Willis’ interior design services and personalised advice, with a wider product selection and dedicated areas for consultations.
